Establishing Captive Nations Week
US Public Law 86-90

The US Congress established Captive Nations Week, which was signed into law in the spring of 1959. In accodance with this law, the incumbant president has issued a proclamation each year to focus attention on the nations imprisoned by the Communist slavemasters. It is dedicated to the overthrow of Communism. Oppressed people al over the world are being inspired by Captive Nations Week activities to demand their freedom and self-determination of their beloved land.
